Great question! I leaned on my community, I did therapy weekly, I did ecstatic dance weekly, I did yoga daily, I worked with a mentor, and I listened to so many podcasts and audio books :) I found so many answers through the connection between my head and my heart...curious if you've experienced something similar and what your process was?
I'd say I'm still at the beginning of the journey you outlined. I quit a career in tech a couple years ago and tried to build something myself after that. That's when I realised how much of my blocks were emotional and not intellectual. Journaling, more than anything, helped me see that.
I haven't given up though as my dream is still very much real. After saving up enough over the past year, I'm going solo in September and will try again.
Huge congrats!!! Ok with that context I also want to share a few things I’ve had to heal in case they resonate. 1) my hyper independence — everything changed when I realised while it starts with me, it flourishes in community. 2) getting into my body every single day, this is the most important! The answers are not solely in the mind 3) massive, consistent, imperfect action towards what i know deep inside is what I give a profound shit about 4) reframing the negative thoughts to “how can I serve deeply and powerfully” while also honouring my story and truth.
Great piece. What you said about the importance of beliefs resonates. Curious: did you do other things that helped other than journal?

So thank you for the inspiration.

I appreciate your support!
And thank you for these points, they definitely resonate. I’m going to be coming back to them a lot.
Thank you Tish.
