Happy Friday team :)
After working with a variety of founders and business owners, I noticed a few key themes they struggled with:
Visibility
Messaging
Growth
This was when I birthed my first product: Brand Marketing Coach.
After I’d taken 12 people through this programme I stopped to reflect and take stock. What I learned is that my clients needed more than just brand strategy and marketing guidance—they needed space to untangle the invisible blocks holding them back. As I dug deeper, I found myself questioning traditional marketing approaches, exploring ethical marketing, non-coercive strategies, and even deeper systemic issues like capitalism and decolonization.
So, I pivoted. My next iteration was Getting Visible, a program that addressed a founder’s fear of being seen—not just in business, but in their creative expression and leadership. This shift opened the door to somatic practices, movement, journaling, and tarot, alongside practical brand and marketing strategy.
Then, one day, I opened a blank Google Slides and wrote two words:
Clarity Coach.
It just clicked. It held all my work—strategy, psychology, anthropology, self-reflection, embodiment, and creative thinking—under one umbrella.
Your Business Evolves as You Do
The Info
Many founders get stuck in perfection paralysis when naming their offer, structuring their service, or defining their niche. But here’s the truth: you won’t know what works until you test it in the real world.
Your first iteration will not be your last—and that’s a good thing.
Let yourself outgrow your old ideas without feeling like you’ve failed.
The most aligned business ideas often come after the first few iterations.
The Action
If you’re stuck on your offer, instead of waiting for the perfect answer, run a small test. Offer a beta version, work with a few clients, and let the work show you the next steps.
Real screenshot of my client back in 2023, sharing my new offering on her IG stories. I didn’t ask her to do this, she did it willingly. Remember: if you do great work and care deeply about providing value, people will help you and support you.
Talking About Your Work is Hard—Even for Experts
The Info
One of the biggest struggles I see (and have experienced firsthand!) is that founders create amazing products and services, but when it comes to talking about them, they freeze.
It’s scary to promote something deeply personal. It can feel vulnerable, exhausting, and even unnatural.
You’ve already told your family and friends. Now what?
You’re afraid of sounding repetitive or bothering people.
You overthink your messaging because it’s so personal.
I get it. Even as a brand strategist, I find it easier to work on other people’s messaging than my own. Why? Because my business is a reflection of ME. And that’s deeply personal.
The Action
If you struggle to talk about your work, detach from over-perfectionism and start speaking about it regularly.
Try writing three different versions of your pitch, each with a different focus:
Values-Led: Explain what you stand for and why your work matters. (e.g., “I believe businesses thrive when they’re built from the inside out, aligning strategy with personal clarity.”)
Feelings-Led: Speak to the emotional transformation. (e.g., “I help founders go from feeling stuck and scattered to clear and confident in their brand.”)
Results-Led: Focus on tangible outcomes. (e.g., “I help founders develop messaging that actually converts—without feeling forced or inauthentic.”)
Next Step: Send these to a trusted client (past or current) and ask:
Which one resonates most?
Does this sound like what I actually do?
What would make it even clearer?
Getting real feedback helps you refine your language and gain confidence in how you talk about your work. Plus, it removes the pressure of "getting it perfect" on your own.
16 January, 2023 — Putting myself out there was emotional. It was f*cking scary. When it was hard, when the perfectionism crept in and the voices were present, I focused on turning the focus OUT and remembered: my job is to serve and be generous with my knowledge. It’s not about me, it’s about serving you.
Your Brand Lives in the Marketplace, Not in Your Head
The Info
Your messaging, positioning, and brand identity only truly take shape when they interact with real people. So many founders hold back from launching or sharing their business because they want to "get it right" before they go public.
The truth is: you won’t know what resonates until people engage with it.
Messaging evolves based on how your audience responds.
The best way to refine your brand is to let it live and breathe in the world.
Flexibility and adaptability are just as important as clarity.
The Action
If you’ve been waiting to "perfect" your messaging before launching, stop waiting.
Share your work today—even if it’s not perfect.
Pay attention to what people connect with and ask questions about.
Adjust as you go.
This is what I deeply feel and believe in my bones….that clarity comes from action
If you’re feeling stuck—whether in your brand, messaging, or business direction—you don’t need more time alone with your thoughts. You need movement. Conversations. Testing. Feedback.
This is exactly the intention of Clarity Coaching—to help founders find alignment in their brand and marketing without getting stuck in their own heads.
If this resonates with you let’s connect. I’d love to learn more about you and support you in bringing your business into the world with more ease and confidence.
Much love,
Tish xxxxxxx
